Dr. Anil Idiculla, aka “Dr. I”, opened his flagship location in the summer of 2008, and is now the owner of 5 private practices in Colorado. He has set up all of his offices in the most competitive areas in Colorado by choice and plans on adding new locations every 1-2 years. He is currently the only doctor at all of these locations.
He lectures nationally and internationally on clinical efficiency, team building and philanthropy at many of the major meetings. Dr. I is proud to be on the faculty for Align Technologies, as well as a KOL for OrthoAccel, Opal, and Rocky Mountain Orthodontics. Dr. I is also very passionate about his role on the Council of Communications (COC) for the AAO. Scott Law, Smile Doctors
Scott Law is a wet-fingered orthodontist charged with overseeing the clinical processes and responsibilities for Smile Doctors, an orthodontist-owned orthodontic group. After completing residency at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics in 2009, he and his wife Jessica purchased a small practice from a retiring orthodontist in Killeen, Texas. Using techniques based on customer service, fun, empowerment and excellence they grew that location to one of the largest practices in the U.S. Looking out on the horizon in 2015 and seeing the threats and opportunities facing orthodontics, they decided to scale their business based on the principle of Love On People First. Joe Hogan, CEO, Align Technology
Joseph M. Hogan joined Align in June 2015 as President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and a Director of Align Technology. Mr. Hogan is an accomplished chief executive with extensive experience across multiple industries including healthcare, technology and industrial automation. Before joining Align, Mr. Hogan served as CEO of ABB, a $40 billion global power and automation technologies company based in Zurich, Switzerland. During his five years at ABB, Mr. Hogan oversaw a 25% increase in revenues. Prior to ABB, Mr. Hogan spent 25 years at General Electric (GE) in a variety of executive and management roles, including eight years as CEO of GE Healthcare, where he drove significant geographic and market portfolio expansion and more than doubled revenues from $7 billion to $16 billion. Jeff Kozlowski has a unique perspective on the importance of clinical efficiency in the business of orthodontics. Jason Tam, MCO Orthodontics
Dr. Jason Tam is the owner of MCO Orthodontics, with three offices just outside of Toronto, Canada. He completed his dental school at the University of Toronto, followed by a GPR at New York Hospital Queens, and an orthodontic residency at Boston University. While his practice is primarily braces, he is a Top 1% Super Elite Invisalign Provider. Dr. Tam has a special interest in office efficiencies and implementation. He is happily married with two young boys, and another baby expected in December 2015.
Courtney Dunn, DDS, MS
Dr. Courtney Dunn is a practicing orthodontist, wife, mother of three and the Founder of Women in Orthodontics Study Group. Originally from Phoenix, Courtney attended the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) for dental school and orthodontics. After she and her husband (Matt, who is also an orthodontist) finished residency, she stubbornly decided to move back home and open from scratch even though the orthodontic market in Phoenix was completely saturated and every orthodontist and dentist told her she should go someplace else. By following proven business and innovative marketing strategies, Courtney and Matt were able to build a highly successful, multi-location orthodontic practice in a notoriously difficult orthodontic market.
Glenn Krieger, DDS, FAGD
Dr. Krieger graduated dental school in 1992 and moved to Seattle in 1996, where he established a solo boutique restorative practice. Making little money and feeling isolated and stressed out from the day-to-day management of a dental practice, Dr. Krieger spent thousands of hours attending every business, management and leadership course he could find. He learned about the importance of well-designed practice policies and systems during a year at the Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale Arizona, and an understanding of general accounting practices and industrial psychology at the University of Washington Graduate Business School’s “Dentist as CEO” program. Dr. Krieger has presented to thousands of dentists in North America and has been published in textbooks and dental periodicals. Dentistry Today has named him “Top Clinician in Continuing Education” 9 times.
After 20 years as a restorative and cosmetic dentist, Dr. Krieger returned to residency to become an orthodontist and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He currently maintains a private orthodontic practice in Lewisville, TX and is the administrator of OrthoPreneurs, a Facebook group dedicated to helping orthodontists run their practices with an entrepreneurial bent.
Most importantly, Dr. Krieger is a dedicated husband of 23 years, a father to three great kids and lives in Dallas, TX.
Cole Johnson, Johnson Family Orthodontics
When Dr. Johnson was 18 he had jobs where he felt severely under-appreciated: Mowing lawns, pumping gas, bagging groceries, and feeding Tapioca to old people. He decided then and there he would find a job where he was severely over-appreciated. His dream came true as an Orthodontist. We promise he did all the necessary training to become an orthodontist and is smart, Summa Cum whatever and all that..blah, blah, blah. He started his practice from scratch in 2012 and since then has been strapping braces on the snaggleteeth of Salem.
While acknowledging that he works hard and always does his best Dr. Cole readily admits he is surrounded by amazing family, staff, and patients that make his practice, Johnson Family Orthodontics, what it is. Dr. Johnson is a very traditional family man but he also loves to have a good time. One of his favorite past-times is people-watching on the Vegas strip; he likes to take the Bible out of his hotel room and cross off the commandments as he sees them being broken. A kind of self-righteous game of bingo. He’s the best job in the world, and is surrounded by the best family ever. His wife Daisha and seven kids are his life. Period.
Neal Kravitz, DMD, MS
Neal D. Kravitz, D.M.D., M.S., is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics, member of the Edward Angle Society North Atlantic component, and clinical faculty at Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Kravitz is a graduate of Columbia University and received his D.M.D., from the University of Pennsylvania. He maintains three thriving practices in South Riding and Ashburn, Virginia, and White Plains, Maryland. Dr. Kravitz is a prolific writer and a passionate editor for numerous journals. He lectures internationally on treatment planning, practice management, Phase I treatment, and lingual orthodontics, quickly building a reputation as one of the country’s most dynamic speakers.
Kurt Kacer, DMD, MS
Dr. Kurt Kacer attended Case Western Reserve University for both his dental studies and orthodontic residency, earning a certificate in orthodontics and a master’s degree in Dental Science in 2009. He has been in private practice in Tucson, Arizona since 2010. Dr. Kacer loves traveling and relaxing with his wife and daughter in his down time.
Aaron Molen, DDS
Dr. A is an internationally recognized speaker on nerd stuff and how it relates to orthodontics. To prove how geeky he really is, he recently finished serving an 8 year term on the AAO’s Committee on Technology while serving as the Chair for his final year. In an unsuccessful attempt to impress his friends while enlarging his ego he has published several papers and textbook chapters on nerd topics and serves on the technology editorial board for the AJO-DO. Dr. A is proud to call the mossy forests of the Great Northwest home. When he’s not searching the woods for bigfoot he spends time in his practice which has 3 locations south of Seattle. He is an avid traveler and has swum in all 5 oceans & visited all 7 continents. He loves spending his free time with his amazing wife Melody, who by some miracle still tolerates him after 17 years, and their three beautiful children.
